Illustration for an article by Charles Robinson entitled “In Search of Eldorado.” Published in Holly Leaves The Christmas Number of the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, 1936. Together with the Magazine in which the illustration appears.

Watercolour of a Spanish galleon with many flags and billowing sails, the silhouette of another galleon is in the background. “As the captains of the slavers and French Slavers sailed over the blue, tropical waters … they would sometimes see the great Spanish galleons, their masts crammed with billowing sails.” Mounted glazed and framed. Frame size 480 × 565 mm, inner mount size 230 × 315 mm.
